Local Markets

Most markets in Mallorca are held in the morning. Try to arrive before 10.30am because many markets are all finished and packed up by 1.30pm.

The nearest big market to Sa Coma is at Son Servera every Friday morning.

Bargains to be had are lace tablecloths and leather handbags, but do try to haggle over the price.

The market is easily reached by bus or taxi - or you can walk.

Special buses are laid on for this market. Also see bus time table for the market buses to Inca (Thursday), Sineu (Wednesday) and Arta (Tuesday).

Another market worth visiting if you have time is the one through the streets of Palma (on the 'Avenidas') on a Saturday morning.

Bargains to be had are lace tablecloths and leather handbags, but do try to haggle over the price.

BEWARE of pickpockets at markets just as you would back home!

Some of the island's main markets you may wish to visit are held on the following days:

Monday Manacor
Tuesday Alcudia - Arta
Wednesday Santanyi - Lluchmajor - Andraitx - Puerto Pollensa - Sa Coma (pm - Summer only)
Thursday Inca - Campos
Friday Son Servera - C'an Picafort
Saturday Palma - Santanyi - Campos - Soller
Sunday Alcudia - Porto Cristo - Felanitx
