Part of the Hipotels group of hotels, the 4 star Hotel Mediterraneo is situated on the sea front in the quiet resort of Sa Coma on the central east coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 65km north east of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and a few steps from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1987, and fully renovated and refurbished during 2007, the modern Hotel Mediterraneo has a total of 397 guest rooms, including 393 twin rooms and a further 4 Junior Suites, which are built over 6 floors and set amidst almost 15,000m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces overlooking the sea and the Punta de n'Amer headland.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower, hairdryer and cosmetic mirror, along with a direct dial telephone, WiFi internet access, satellite television with TFT with plasma screen, safety deposit box available for rental, mini bar and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have sea views.

In addition to the above features, Junior Suites, which are all located on the sixth floor of the hotel, overlooking the magnificent Sa Coma beach, have a lounge area with two convertible sofa beds, two televisions, a bathroom with bath robes and a double terrace.

Five guest rooms at the Hotel Mediterraneo have also been specially adapted for the needs of disabled guests, and all rooms are provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange desk, luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international dishes and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, snack bars, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

During Spring, guests have the opportunity of participating with the ‘Max Hürzeler' organisation, whereby group mountain bike excursions are organised with a specialised instructor along previously studied routes for different levels, enjoying the magnificent springtime countryside of the island.
